Before placing an order with
Magna Carta Bookshop, please make sure that you understand and agree to all our
terms and conditions. Once your payment is entered and accepted, it is
understood that you have read, acknowledged and agreed to all our terms and
conditions.
Order Acceptance
Your order has not been accepted
or confirmed until you receive an e-mail from us stating that your payment has
been accepted. We reserve the right to refuse orders for any reason we see fit.
Privacy
Our clients’ privacy and
security is paramount to us and we will not divulge your data to any third
parties. Other than order fulfilment, your e-mail address details will only be
used to send our newsletters or other promotional information, unless you
specify otherwise.
Should you wish to have your
contact details removed from our database, please send an e-mail to info@magnacartabookshop.com,
or letter to Urb. Quinta da Praia, Lote 4 – Loja 10 8500 Alvor, informing us of
your intention.
Our ordering service is done via
Pay Pal
a secure Internet paying system. Therefore, your card details will never be
disclosed to us. Any irregularities or complaints must be resolved directly by
Pay Pal. If you are not happy about opening an account with Pay Pal, you may
contact us via telephone or e-mail to place your order.

From 150€ delivery is FREE and delivered by DHL

From 75€ to 150€, 14.35€ for p&p and CTT recorded delivery
From 150€ delivery is FREE and delivered by courier
We endeavour to ship your orders
within 24 hours unless the items you request change status, that is, go out of
stock by the time your order is received by us. In this case, we will notify you
by e-mail of the delay, and you will be offered the opportunity to request a
full refund.
(Out of stock items are clearly
marked on our site, together with the estimated delivery times. This information
is regularly updated and reviewed for accuracy).
Ordering items that are clearly
marked to be out of stock acknowledges that you have accepted the estimated
delivery times, and agree to the item being delivered 7 working days before or
after that date.
Unexpected delays will be
communicated by e-mail and the client will have the right to cancel the item(s)
in the order that are not available, and only these.
Cancelling Orders
Every order we place on your
behalf for items that are not readily available on our site, incur automatic
costs to us. We therefore, can only accept cancellations when we have been
unable to fulfil the clients’ orders, that is, when we have failed to provide
the client with the item requested within the time frame we advised.
For orders involving items that
can be dispatched the same day, we will allow one hour for cancelling. After
this time has expired, your book may automatically enter the shipping process
and we can no longer guarantee cancellations. To request any cancellations,
please contact us as soon as possible by telephone on 282 496 001.
Returns, Damages and Refunds
Our responsibility towards the
packaged order ends when we leave the parcel with the carrier. Any damages,
missing packages, or compensations should be taken up with the carrier, unless
it is proved that we acted negligently in the packaging of your order. If you
feel this is the case, you must notify us within 24 hours of receiving your
order either by telephone or e-mail. We may request that you return the damaged
item, together with the packaging, to assess our responsibilities.
If you are unhappy with an item
ordered and wish to return it, you have 7 working days from the date of receipt.
By returning an item, you acknowledge that refunds can only apply to the cost of
the item and never to the post and packaging costs. The safe packaging and
shipping of the item back to us is done at the client’s expense, and no refunds
will ensue on these costs.
A refund can only be granted if
the product is returned to us in mint condition and shows no signs of wear and
tear.
Safety
Although we will take every care
to keep our web site free from any virus or any other harmful content, which may
cause damage to your computer, we cannot be held responsible if any such damage
occurs. We advise that you take the same reasonable precautions before
downloading information from our site that you would from any other trustworthy
site.
Disputes
Our shop operates and is
registered in Portugal. Therefore, the client agrees and understands that only
Portuguese law will apply in the event of any disagreements or legal disputes. |
